What are Atlas Copco's objectives in this acquisition ?
Atlas Copco offers high-performance solutions for productivity in a wide range of industries such as manufacturing and process industries, construction, automotive, aerospace, quarrying, electronics, oil and gas... LTS is known for its high quality products, strong environmental focus and application expertise. This acquisition will strengthen and expand our rental product offering to customers in all segments.
Since 2008, LTS has developed a fleet of mobile industrial boilers and all the services required for their implementation. After more than 300 rental installations mainly in France and some neighboring countries, it was time for LTS to take the step of internationalization to accelerate its growth. Atlas Copco's desire to consolidate its position as a leader in industrial solutions was matched by LTS' need to strengthen and structure itself to accelerate its development in Europe. LTS will become part of the Specialty Specialty division of Atlas Copco's Power Technique business area.
Have you signed an agreement with LCI Group and why?
Yes, an agreement has been signed between LCI Group and LTS ATLAS COPCO for the development of R&D, supply of boilers and ready-to-rent modules over several years. The most successful boiler fleet on the rental market.
The constraints initially applied on the first specifications are still present, even if they are now more numerous: transportability, versatility, maintainability, modularity, efficiency, reliability, etc.
Laurent CARLIER and Mathieu GODEFROY, historical managers of LCI group, have known how to listen to customers, technicians, fitters and maintenance teams in order to make the boilers evolve.
The brand of the equipment is obviously a guarantee of quality, but what is most important is LCI Group's ability to highlight the essential needs and functions to refocus and simplify the solution.
LCI Group has been the official supplier of LTS since its origins. Atlas Copco has decided to make the LTS site in Carvin its center of excellence for steam in Europe. Therefore, the knowledge of LCI Group will be used. Synergies and developments will benefit everyone and it is likely that LCI Group will see its competitiveness increase significantly.
